What do you love about your job?

I started my career in an engineering role and eventually became a product manager at a laser company in Princeton, NJ. I did not enjoy being stuck in a lab and worked towards a career in marketing which led to a career in the software industry with many venture backed startups. I love the high energy and fast pace of Technology Marketing. You need to be efficient, decisive and strategic. You need excellent communication skills and the field is always evolving with new technologies to apply to your craft.

What do you like about working with TBI?

The energy that I feel from everyone I meet at TBI, especially the marketing and events teams. From Corey, Mike, Keith, Caitlin, and Bryan there are so many people who really exude enthusiasm. People are excited and driven and seem sincerely happy in their roles and they produce very good work. In the six years I’ve been at AireSpring I have watched this team of individuals, who are too numerous to mention, shape the organization and make it stronger, more cohesive than ever before. What is a key tidbit you give to others?

If you truly do not enjoy your job change professions or better yet, go into business for yourself. I truly believe that If you hate your job, there is more going on than just a bad boss, culture, etc. It is the rare individual who does not have to deal with challenging people, or circumstances, on a regular basis. If you cannot find joy in the actual work you do, what you create, or the end product of your efforts despite the corporate culture, then you are in the wrong profession. If you do not love the work you do and find joy in it, move on.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination?

Torn between Yellowstone (and other National Parks) and New Zealand. I’ve been to both numerous times. I’ve lived in large cities most of my life: Philadelphia, Paris, Buenos Aires and now LA. But I really am not a city person at heart. I love the culture, the events and energy a big city often provides but when it comes to my time off, I prefer to unplug and go to areas where animals far outnumber people and you can hear the earth move. New Zealand has some breathtaking scenery, fascinating animals, and lovely people. Yellowstone has a lot in common with Rotorua/Wai-O-Tapu, which I think is one of the most surreal places on the planet. Both have a lot of volcanic activity with many geysers and hot springs which I find to be so amazing when you realize that all those incredible colors are caused by living organisms that thrive in extreme heat. It’s like being on another planet. In New Zealand there are places where sheep far outnumber people and in Yellowstone the Bison rule. Being in these places forces you to acknowledge that we are part of the ecosystem and not above it.

Do you have a goal outside of your career that you'd like to achieve?

I have a number of interests outside of marketing, one of which is Alternative Medicine. I founded a company in 2013 called Natural MD Search to help promote a better understanding of alternative medicine and to help people locate an alternative practitioner. I would like to devote more time to this one day and other beneficial organizations, especially charities that help children and animals, which I believe to be the most vulnerable members of our society. I also am a trained voice over artist and would like to spend more time in that profession too.
