What do you love about your job?
I love that not every day is the same. There are new challenges to be solved for, new marketing ideas to come up with and new partners to engage with. Being in this industry for over 10 years, you really start to feel like telecom is the tech family you never knew you needed. I especially have a soft spot for the cable crew that I’ve grown so close with over the years. The culture at Comcast is amazing. It’s incredibly collaborative and innovative. I’m proud to work for a company that really gives back to the community and celebrates their employees.
What do you like about working with TBI?
You don’t work in this industry for years without knowing the TBI fam! I’m lucky that I’ve gotten to work hand-in-hand with one of the ultimate marketing teams in our industry. They are creative, sales-driven and genuine in the work they produce. I really like working with the sales and training teams too- they are always open for a brainstorm session on how we can make our partnership succeed together. I have always felt like my visits to Chicago were like going to see family- we solve what we need to but always make time for catching up on our personal lives too.
Live the life you've always dreamed of. Be fearless in the face of adversity. Never stop learning. Use your imagination whenever possible. Recognize the beauty that surrounds YOU. Remember where you came from, but never lose sight of where you are going.
What is a key tidbit you give to others?
Stay ambitious. Keep reaching towards your next step- whether it’s in your career or your personal life. You can lean on others for support but find that self-drive within you to push yourself to that next level.
Favorite vacation/getaway destination?
Turks & Caicos- I was fortunate to go on my honeymoon to T&C for a week. Crystal blue water, umbrella drinks, delicious food… oh and of course, long walks on the beach with my husband (cue: cheesy music). My favorite part of that trip was snorkeling and seeing the coral reefs!
Do you have a goal outside of your career that you'd like to achieve?I really want to find time to volunteer more and give back. Last week, I made a donation to the Raleigh Women’s Shelter and was immediately interested in helping them out after meeting the staff. It’s hard for everyone to find time when they have full time work, families and other responsibilities (and COVID!)- but even if it’s just a small amount of time- it can really help out a non-profit organization.
