6 Questions with Nextiva's Lisa Frederick

Telecom Master Agent and technology distributor TBI Highlights Woman of the Channel, Lisa Frederick from Nextiva.

Lisa Frederick is currently the Director of Partner Program and Strategy at Nextiva. She is known throughout the industry as a driven leader, resulting in successful execution of programs and process adoption.

Lisa started her career in a direct sales role selling voice solutions at a channel partner and credits this experience to driving her channel passion throughout her career. Lisa’s experiences as a partner helps her to understand the challenges partners face and the importance to be laser focused on making their experience simple and amazing.

After her partner experience, she joined Inter-Tel and helped build their channel program from the ground up, including during the 2008 Mitel acquisition. Her experience spans roles in sales leadership, business development, strategic partnerships, merger integration, and program creation. Lisa has a proven record of coaching and inspiring sales teams to focus on partner experience and end user customer requirements to drive partner success.

What do you like about working with TBI? 

TBI has built a fantastic business focused on their partners’ success. TBI continues to evolve their business as fast as technology changes, which is not an easy task. The TBI associates are passionate about providing a great experience for both their partners and suppliers. Nextiva and TBI are in our first year of partnering, and the entire team at TBI has been extremely helpful. They educate our team and provide guidance on the best ways to align/support the joint success of TBI, Nextiva and, most importantly, the partners.

What is a key tidbit you give to others? 

Work hard to create authentic and meaningful business relationships. Make a habit of talking to successful people who may intimidate you. People are people. Ask questions; questions help you connect with other people and build your knowledge in a meaningful way.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination? 

There are too many to name. National parks & monuments are near the top of my list. I’ve been to 56 and have a lot more on my to-do list!
