6 Questions with NICE inContact's Kim Glennon

Telecom Master Agent and technology distributor TBI highlights Woman of the Channel, Kim Glennon from NICE inContact.

Kim Glennon is a regional partner manager for NICE InContact. She got her start in the technology world back in 2006, where part of her responsibilities was managing backups for a staffing company in Orange County, California. 

This role included exposure to disaster recovery, which piqued her interest. In 2008, she began working in sales for the backup manufacturer, Quantum. Kim worked at Quantum for about a year when they offered her the opportunity of a lifetime: relocate to Chicago. There, she would be a channel manager at leading technology solution provider, CDW. About 9 months into her new role in Chicago, Kim experienced snow on Christmas Day for the first time and decided the Midwest would be her forever home.

After supporting the CDW relationship for 10 years at Quantum, Kim made the jump to the contact center market and began working in the channel at NICE InContact She met her husband, Tim in 2012, and they married and started their family in 2014; Kim's children are Emma (5), Cooper (3) Bella (1). Kim and her family’s favorite time of year is the Christmas season, which, for them, starts November 1st. Don’t be surprised if you happen to see their Christmas tree up while most people’s Halloween pumpkins are still on the porch.

I love working in the contact center/customer experience market. The most enjoyable part about our job is that we have the ability to truly impact the individual experience in a positive way. Each day presents new challenges and unique scenarios that always keep me on my toes!

What is a key tidbit you'd give to others? 

Always do the right thing first. Sometimes it may seem easier said than done, but follow your gut. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Stand by your convictions and treat others how you would want to be treated. If more people operated this way, the world would be a better place.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination? 

After 5 years of marriage and 3 children, my husband and I finally got to take our honeymoon. This summer we spent 4 days in Myrtle Beach soaking up the sun and enjoying cocktails on the beach. We had a phenomenal experience and plan to head back with the kids every summer.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Turning water into wine. I’m not sure if that qualifies as a superpower, but there have been many situations where the wine ran out and all that was left was water. It would have been helpful to have that power in those situations.
