6 Questions with RingCentral's Kari Shafer

TBI Highlights Woman of the Channel, Kari Shafer from RingCentral

Kari Shafer, Associate Channel Marketing Manager for RingCentral, is responsible for managing marketing initiatives, enablement, and engagement with key strategic partners and master agents. 

Working closely with the channel sales team, she implements go-to-market strategies targeting both partner and customer audiences to drive revenue. Since her hire in 2016, Shafer has held multiple roles at RingCentral and has helped develop the channel program’s identity into what it is today. Prior to RingCentral, Shafer graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor of business administration degree in Finance and Marketing.

There is never a dull moment in my role at RingCentral. It’s extremely fast-paced, and that coupled with the high-growth nature of this company and industry is unique and something I love. My job constantly provides new opportunities and challenges for me to learn and grow professionally.


What do you like about working with TBI?

The TBI team is a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, they truly care about their partners and driving them to be successful. What is a key tidbit you give to others? 

This one’s geared toward new professionals, but as a millennial that recently joined the workforce, I have to tell myself this often: Don’t wish for the job to be easier. Instead, work to be better at it.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination? 

Near: Crested Butte, CO

Far: Amalfi Coast, Italy

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

The ability to understand, speak, and read all languages (a.k.a. omnilingualism).
