6 Questions with Spectrum's Michelle Kadlacek

Telecom Master Agent and technology distributor TBI highlights Woman of the Channel, Michelle Kadlacek from Spectrum Enterprise.

Michelle Kadlacek is the Vice President of the Channel Partner Program for Spectrum Enterprise. She leads the enterprise channel responsible for driving the growth of fiber-based solutions as well as the strategic development and recruitment of master agents throughout the country.

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications and cable channel industry, having held various channel roles throughout her career. She is a board member of the Alliance of Channel Women, a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications, is active with CTAM, and leads the Spectrum Enterprise Women’s Leadership & Development Initiative. Most recently, Michelle was appointed as a co-chair for the new Charter Women’s Business Resource Group, to launch their new pilot program and mentor emerging female leaders within Charter. She was named amongst the 2018 Channel Partner Circle of Excellence winners and one of CRN's 2018 100 People You Don’t Know But Should. Michelle has also received the 2019 Channel Focus Top Gun 51 and CRN Channel Chief awards, as well as multiple CRN Women in the Channel honors over the past years, including this year.

Michelle is an active volunteer for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and A Child’s Place in Charlotte, NC. She was recently honored for her community involvement by being named as one of Mecklenburg County's 50 Most Influential Women for 2019. She is a native Texan but has been living in Charlotte for the last 15 years. Michelle is an avid runner who competes in half marathons, travels extensively, and loves California red wines.

Everything! I often tell people that I am a “walking billboard for Spectrum Enterprise.” The two things that I love the most about my job are the people and the partnerships that we have with so many individuals and companies across the country. I grew up in sales over 20 years ago through the channel, and I’ve built long-lasting relationships and friendships during this time. I’ve enjoyed watching and helping partners start their own agent businesses and then helping grow them into thriving companies. 

What do you like about working with TBI? 

The people and their focus on delivering a positive partner experience. TBI was one of the first Spectrum partners, so they understand cable and what it takes to be successful supporting partners that sell cable fiber services. TBI says it best as they are “the master agent that truly works for you.”

What is a key tidbit you'd give to others? 

Don’t sell yourself short, and take a risk.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination? 

This is a tough one as I travel frequently, both professionally and personally. I’m going to Italy for the first time later this year so I’m guessing that will become my new favorite vacation destination. But until then, Napa tops my list.
