Comcast Business Beta Testing SD-WAN Offering in Collaboration With Versa Networks

In May, we publicly announced the Software Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) beta launch for Comcast Business. As we continue to drive growth across our Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, we are offering new and innovative solutions to meet the unique demands of business customers with large networks stretching across multiple locations nationwide.

I am thrilled that we are now one step closer to delivering our first Software Defined Network (SDN) offering. This SDN platform changes the traditional approach to design, build, and manage networks by separating the network's control and forwarding functions to better optimize each. SD-WAN will deliver intelligent, secure Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) connections to enhance a customer’s existing network connections with smarter broadband options, and the ability to manage applications effectively across all locations.

We kicked off a beta trial program to work with a small number of customers to see how they leverage SD-WAN as part of their network strategy and help us better understand how customers use the technology as we prepare for the full launch later this year.

Combined with our gigabit broadband and Ethernet services, we are about to change the industry—simplifying and reducing costs for larger businesses by offering an outstanding alternative to legacy T1-based MPLS networks.

Partners are eligible to nominate beta trial participants. Contact your Comcast Business Partner Sales Manager for additional details.

I’m excited to see this new solution come to life and all of the opportunity it will bring.

Hear from Comcast to learn more about their SD-WAN capabilities on August 10th at TBI's Philadelphia iMPACT.
