Coming Soon to TBI Commissions

As Director of Finance for TBI, I ensure our partners are paid their commissions efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner. My team and I work exceptionally hard behind the scenes to make sure that we exceed our partners expectations in this matter month after month, year after year.

In pursuit of transparency and in the spirit of continuous improvement, I’m proud to share with you some of what’s been going on behind the scenes and give you a sneak peak of what’s yet to come this summer.

TBI-CommissionsDid you know:

  • There is a team of six commissions analysts! These analysts work incredibly hard on behalf of our partners. They not only research and resolve disputes and questions submitted via NetSuite or the TBI On Demand app, they are also available via phone 847.465.4500 or email ( for direct person-to-person contact.
  • Our commissions analysts aren’t just working on the disputes you bring to our attention. They proactively investigate and dispute billing discrepancies on your behalf—often resolving them with carriers before you even know about it.
  • You have full transparency to all open cases/disputes via NetSuite.

Coming this Summer:

  • We will be able to pay partner reps and subs directly, instead of having to funnel that payment through the partner’s business.
    • Note: All taxes will be recorded under the primary partner
  • Monthly commissions statements will be emailed to partners rather than requiring partners to log into NetSuite to view them.
    • This information will be relayed via CSV file
  • Proactive disputes that our team is processing will also be viewable via NetSuite.
  • Automated emails will be sent notifying partners of ticket status – open, resolved, etc.
    • This information will be relayed via CSV file
  • While we’ve always proactively opened commission disputes with carriers for items that have installed and begun billing, but TBI has not been paid on, we will now also be proactively investigating previously commissioned deals that have stopped being paid and variances in commission payouts of more than 25% from the previous month.

Once we are ready to officially roll-out the above changes, I will be sending an email notifying our partners. I hope you are as excited about these changes as I am; these are some of many services that make TBI stand apart from other master agents. We strive to be forward thinking and always willing to go the extra mile in care for our partners and their businesses.

If you have any questions about these policies or any other commissions-related situations please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via email, phone, NetSuite or the app. We’re ready and willing to help.
