TBI Adds New VAR-centric Resource for Partners

TBI Welcomes Rodney Sizemore as Channel Program Manager.

CHICAGO, IL – JULY 5, 2017 - TBI announced a new role to its Sales Team with the addition of Rodney Sizemore as Channel Program Manager. Tailored to the VAR community and its unique value propositions, this role is designed to assist VARs as they transition to sell cloud services and look to shift to a recurring revenue stream.

Rodney joins TBI with 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications space. Key highlights of his career include cofounding the first and largest commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the Ohio valley region, growing the business to 100+ employees and over $10 million in annual recurring revenue.  Overall, Rodney has founded, grown, and sold three cloud communications companies and one telecom VAR. While leading these organizations, he provided integrated solutions using a multi-vendor approach to achieve clients’ technology goals.

“Every aspect of the channel is undergoing significant changes,” said Rodney. “By leveraging my experience, I’ll serve as an advisor to VARs as their business models transform. TBI is an established industry leader in this space, I’m confident we’ll energize the VAR community while providing tools needed to ensure future success in the channel.”

Rodney attended the University of Cincinnati School of Engineering after his time spent in the US Army as a Combat Communications Specialist. He obtains multiple certifications including ITIL v3, Cisco Certified Collaboration Specialist, Cisco Certified Business Value Analyst, VMWare Certified Associate and Veeam Technical Sales Professional (VMTSP). Additionally, Rodney is a certified Pilot, an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver, and an SCCA Club racing driver. He spends his free time participating in startup and Entrepreneurial groups focused on new technologies and solutions they provide.

“Convergence is driving the VAR industry to change, making it crucial for them to complement their legacy business with a cloud-based recurring revenue model,” said Mike Onystok, Vice President of TBI. “We’re excited to have Rodney onboard to support this change; his firsthand experience and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to our partners as they continue to adopt network connectivity and cloud solutions into their portfolios.”

TBI ensures VARs and MSPs have appropriate training in place to develop skillset and align the right solutions with their business to sell on an annuity basis. The hiring of Sizemore is one of many initiatives TBI has added to make certain the channel community continues to adopt solutions previously unavailable to the channel. As the network becomes more intelligent, hardware and applications are transported over the network to the cloud. TBI helps partners build a cloud practice, offering customers high-speed broadband, intelligent routing and automatic failover. Solutions such as cloud connects, cloud migration, infrastructure management will bring the channel and agent community into the next generation of technology distribution.
