TBI Adds Two New Channel Managers

CHICAGO – February 7, 2018 – TBI announced today Ashley Klein and Van Wender, formerly of Windstream and GTT, respectively, as the newest Channel Managers to cover parts of the Midwest and Southeast regions for the master agent.

Ashley Klein will serve as TBI Channel Manager for the Midwest states, Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky. In this role, she will work with partners developing business plans to reach their company’s growth goals. She will support selling partners in her region with on-going training, in market technical support, events and keeping them up to date on new vendor offerings.

Klein is Miller Heiman Strategic Selling Certified and previously managed partner relationships for Windstream. While there, she managed a base of 250 partners valued at over $16.8 million and consistently exceeded her quota. She was named Account Manager of the Year in 2008 and 2009, and was in the Top 10 Account Managers in 2015 and 2016. Currently, Ashley resides in Ohio with her husband and two daughters. Van Wender has spent the past 25 years in the telecom and cloud technology services business. Most recently, he served as a channel manager at GTT, overseeing partners across the U.S. Prior to that he was a channel manager at Bullseye, spent nine years at Microcorp and served as Regional Director, launching a successful channel program for the Southeast region at Expanets (Avaya). There, he led a team of channel managers, Van Wender, TBI Channel Managerback-office support for the sales reps and helped achieve Expanets as the number one agent for Bellsouth.

Wender brings to TBI a vast network of contacts and a wealth of knowledge crafting customer solutions. In his role as Channel Manager for TBI, he will oversee the support of existing partners, while also recruiting new ones in the Southeast U.S.

Van Wender is a member of the Telecom Association and in the past, was a member of the Steering Committee for Bellsouth. He was awarded first place in 2002, Bellsouth partner of excellence and in 2003 and 2004. He holds numerous Gold certifications including TCA Certified Telecom Professional, Keystone Coach of the Year for applications and the "Ritz Carlton" title for exceptional service to partners. TBI VP of East Coast Sales, Keith Connolly says “We’re thrilled to have such an experienced, talented and focused channel professional as Van on the TBI team to oversee development and revenue growth initiatives in our Southeast markets.”

Van resides in Georgia with his wife of 23 years and their dog Bo. He is also the proud father of four accomplished children. On his off-time, he’s an avid tennis player, music lover, accomplished percussionist and Boy Scout enthusiast.
