CHICAGO, IL - JANUARY 4, 2017 - TBI announced today that Joe Fizor and Miguel Sanchez have joined the Master Agency as Solution Engineers. In this role, they will provide technical expertise and advise best-suited IT solutions to empower agent partners to maximize their impact in the market place.
Joe Fizor brings to TBI over five years of experience as a Sales Engineer in the IT space. Most recently, he worked for Insight, a Fortune 500-ranked global provider of hardware, software, cloud and service solutions. Here, he supported around 70 sales representatives and their enterprise-level accounts in various verticals, including healthcare, public sector and service provider. He provided vendor agnostic guidance and design to enterprise customers on networking opportunities involving security, routing, switching, wireless and collaboration.
Highlights from his tenure at Insight include educating customers on new Cisco routers that used software routing, introducing them to Wireless AC wave 1 and 2, and discussing Cisco ASA firewalls with Sourcefire to provide true layer 7 intrusion prevention. In his last year with the company, Joe’s primary focus was on security. Specifically, he spearheaded the replacement of legacy on premise equipment for a Cisco/Sourcefire solution that provides intrusion prevention, URL filtering, Application Visibility/Control, and Anti-Malware at the network layer through to the endpoints.
Joe graduated from Judson University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in architecture, with an emphasis on sustainable design. He has earned many certifications, including CCNA, CCDA, Cisco Meraki Network Associate, Palo Alto Networks, Palo Alto Accredited Sales Expert, Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer, RingCentral, Veeam, and Rackspace. During his free time, Joe has been working to transform his house into a ‘smart home’ and enjoys spending time with his wife and their 5-month old daughter, Ellie.

Miguel Sanchez joins TBI with 20 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer. He began his career at PAETEC where he served in various roles, including Network Design Specialist. While there, Miguel designed and successfully implemented a SIP Proof of Concept for the University of Illinois. He then went on to hold the same title at US Signal, where he was the lead on cloud-based opportunities such as virtual machines, storage and advanced security. In this role, Miguel created a hybrid cloud design using MPLS and Cloud Firewalls for an IT VAR in Wisconsin. This project resulted in a case study of the benefits of Cloud Computing and was published on US Signal’s website.
Most recently, Miguel worked for First Communications as the lead Senior Sales Engineer for enterprise accounts, with a focus on complex solutions like MPLS, SIP and advanced security. While here, Miguel created and presented a webinar on Risk Based Security Planning and Runtime Application Self Protection, one of Gartner’s top 5 topics for 2015. The content was a huge success, generating about 350 leads for the company.
Miguel attended the University of Illinois for electrical engineering. Throughout his career, he has earned many awards and certifications, including MFS Presidents Club, First Comm Circle of Excellence Award, CCNA, CCDA, VMware Sales Professional (VSP) and VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP). Miguel resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife and their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and participating in his son’s Cub Scout Pack.
