6 Questions with Comcast's Vivian Chavez

TBI Highlights Woman of the Channel, Vivian Chavez from Comast Business.

Vivian Chavez is the Director of National Partner Programs for Comcast Business and an active Woman in the Channel. She drives joint business planning efforts with Master Agents for overall channel strategy, operations, marketing and sales program management. Vivian provides partners with actionable consultations, compliance support and recommendations for ease of doing business.

Prior to this role, Vivian was selected as the first Partner Sales Manager for the program and was a strategic contributor to the successful launch of the Comcast Solutions Provider Program in 2011.  She has been in the telecom industry for over eighteen years and has achieved several top achievement awards. Vivian is the proud recipient of the WICT Visionary Leadership Award in 2012 (Women in Cable and Telecommunications). Most recently she was selected as a member of the Comcast/NBCU Elevar Latino Leadership program.  She has a B.A. from DePaul University

What do you love about your job?


What I love about my job is that there is never a dull moment.  My job responsibilities allow me to be creative while building programs and I can learn something new every day.  In in my role I support TBI with sales strategy, operations, marketing, and overall channel strategy.   My time with TBI involves the opportunity for collaboration, business planning, keeping an eye on key metrics, as well as being TBI’s advocate. 

What do you like about working with TBI?

I like working with TBI because of the people.  I’ve supported TBI for over 15 years and it has been a delight to see talented individuals promoted into leadership roles from within the organization.  The employees are heavily focused on the results while demonstrating strong partner relationships and a culture that includes the value of family.

What is a key tidbit you give to others? 

A key tidbit is to constantly challenge yourself to do things differently while reaching your goals and building your brand.

Favorite vacation/getaway destination? 

My favorite getaway typically involves a sunny destination but my most favorite downtime is spending time with my granddaughters.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

This is a fun question. My superpower would be Teleportation so that I can teleport anywhere in an instant while avoiding busy airports.
