TBI Insider: What happened in Q4?

That’s a wrap 2017! TBI is proud to look back on what a successful year it has been for our company. This past quarter alone, we’ve accomplished many of our goals including giving back to those in need, growing our team, and accepting one of Chicago’s most prestigious workplace awards. With all the momentum 2017 has given us, we are excited to keep it going all through the new year.

TBI Cares

Every year, TBI looks for opportunities to get involved and help our community in any way we can. Our 2nd Annual Canned Food Drive back in October allowed us to donate 2,341 canned food items to the Self Help Closet & Food Pantry of Des Plaines, surpassing our goal and beating the previous year’s total of 2,016 cans. Our generous team felt nothing but fulfillment as we were collectively able to feed hundreds of people this past holiday season.

Costumes and Cookoffs

One of the exciting spirit days TBI had this year was our Halloween costume contest. Many TBI team members celebrated the holiday by dressing up in some impressive costumes in addition to tasting the scary treats from our Halloween Bakeoff. The following month, we held our first ever TBI Chili Cookoff where our top chefs whipped up their favorite Chili for the office to vote on. All the appetizing recipes submitted truly spiced up the competition, making it a great success!

Meat us at Fogo de Chão

To end the year in style, TBI hosted the annual holiday party at Fogo de Chão. In addition to the delicious never-ending food and good company, our employees came together to celebrate the holidays and the amazing year TBI has had. TBI’s President himself announced the recipients of the Rising Star, Employee of the Year, and Manager of the Year awards in addition to the Jamaica trip attendees, who received an all paid trip with a guest to the lovely island. Hard work will not go unnoticed here at TBI!

TBI Expansion

The Human Resources department remained busier than ever as TBI added 21 new hires to our team in Q4. TBI was also excited to receive Chicago’s Top Workplaces Award from the Chicago Tribune in November! This cherished award truly speaks about the culture TBI has organically developed over time and as we continue to grow, we are constantly looking for new amazing talent to join our team.
