TBI Operations Team Spotlight: Nancy Morimoto

TBI’s award-winning back office is unmatched in the industry. Get to know the people who make an impact. This month we shine the spotlight on Nancy Morimoto, Senior Proposal Specialist.

How long have you been at TBI? What is your role?

I have been working for TBI for 10 years as of July 27th of this year. I am a Senior Proposal Specialist for the Concierge Team under Adan Peña. I primarily assist my partners by obtaining quotes from the various providers we work with.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!Morimoto

Not a lot of people really know me well since I am primarily remote, but I love gaming, knitting/crocheting, sewing, cosplaying, decorating cakes, anime, and I also speak Spanish-- I lived in Puerto Rico for 6 ½ years when I was younger.

What is your favorite TBI story?

I guess my favorite story would be when I made a funny Power Point presentation for one of the VP’s that showed the benefits of having a laptop vs a desktop only. This is when the St. Francis TBI office existed. A couple of my co-workers did not have laptops, so when we would visit the Chicago office, they had to bring their computer towers with them. It was pretty funny and he got a kick out of it. They both got laptops quickly after that.

What are some personal goals or accomplishments that you have made during your employment at TBI?

Being a single mom, I thought working and being home for my kids simultaneously seemed impossible. But for the past 5-6 years, I have been able to work from home and see both of my children graduate high school. I could not be more grateful to TBI for that.

What is one thing that can instantly make your day better?

A completed quote. I love closing out my tasks.
