CHICAGO – April 5, 2016 – TBI, the nation’s leading technology distributor, announced the addition of Johnson Tran as a National Channel Manager to further support and grow the company’s agent partner base in Houston, TX. Johnson brings over 12 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with a strong focus in mobility sales.
Johnson began his career at T-Mobile, where he held the position of Senior Sales Representative and earned the Winner's Circle Award for achieving the highest percentage in annual subscriber growth. After 6 years with the carrier, he took on various roles within the telecommunications industry including a management position with Clearwire Corporation where he oversaw 200 channel partners, attained 227% of budgeted quota and achieved the President’s Council Award for Top Indirect Channel Sales. Before coming to TBI, Johnson served as the Director of Marketing & Strategic Initiatives at United Mobile Solutions, a leader in the wireless industry.

As a National Channel Manager, Johnson will focus on accelerating sales and enabling TBI’s agent partners to sell technology solutions in the Southwest region. In addition, he will provide support to these agent partners and develop strategic plans to grow their business and increase revenues.
Johnson graduated from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with the focused minor of International studies. During his free time, he enjoys practicing and learning the fundamentals of Martial Arts. He has achieved Black Belt status in Tae Kwon Do and is currently training in Wing Chun Kung Fu. Johnson is happily married with a two year old daughter, Juneau, and expecting another baby this July.
