Commissions and NetSuite Reporting
Are you effectively using the commissions data that we’re providing you each month or the valuable reporting available to you in NetSuite? You should be. Gain better insight into your business as a whole; make more strategic, calculated moves; avoid missing contract renewal opportunities and anticipate future revenue drops. There are NetSuite reports that you should be using regularly like the Contract Expiration Audit. This report audits active contracts that you’ve sold through TBI (not any contracts directly with carriers or another master agent) and tells you when the contract will expire. Prioritize accounts and avoid losing business as contracts end; this color-coded audit gives snapshots into six months, 90 days, 60 days and 30 days. Another helpful report is the 3Month Comparison – Summary by Account Name which gives you a three-month commission variance to allow for financial and strategic planning. The Accounts that Stopped Commissioning in Prior Month report shows you what margin fell off in the previous month including who the customer was and the solution.
